Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role reports to the Managing Director of the Strečno plant in Slovakia and also has a matrix report to the Head of Lean Management Sinks & Projects, based in Aarburg, Swiss.

This role provides support and guidance to boost the development of Lean (continuous improvement) projects and activities in the plant, promoting the understanding, the development and the application of Lean principles and culture.

The selected candidate will be part of a very engaged team, responsible for delivering processes improvements through Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost projects, leading the implementation of the agreed changes with all teams and demonstrating the achieved results in regular basis.

Key Accountabilities

 Lead, Define and Develop continuous improvement activities for the deployment of all aspects of the FPS (Franke Production System) including, but not limited to kaizen activities or introduction / application of lean tools.

 Identify objectives for process improvement projects, enriching the cost saving pipeline constantly and selecting cross-functional team members and leaders.

 Facilitate the project management methods, offering support, training, and coaching when necessary.

 Coordinate each project phase and ensure that participants and stakeholders have the tools and resources they need, necessary information and guidance to enable them to fully engage in the process and maximize the potential outcome of each project.

 Report project progress, understanding the dependencies, budgets, resources, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline and actions necessary to ensure success.

 Operate in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff.

 Perform post implementation reviews to ensure that a successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.

 Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

 Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve the operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities to optimize results.

 Enable the local applicability of the Franke Lean Strategy.

Required Experience
 Minimum 5 years of proven continuous improvement experience, playing a similar role, including project management and business analysis.
 Background in Quality, Environment and Safety management systems.
 Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
 Background in manufacturing operations with high production volumes and strong lean culture.
 Experience in designing and/or implementing a framework of continuous improvement.
 Experience in change management in diverse environments.

Education and Languages
 University degree in Engineering, or equivalent, preferably in Chemistry.
 Minimum accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably Black Belt.
 Languages: Slovak and English fluency (both written and oral). Other languages are a plus.
