Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role is defined as a Technical Lead Engineer for Front-End Development for incubation products. You will serve in a key role for the software development team. You will be working in an agile environment as a member in a Scrum team and report to the Director of R&D.

Your first mission:

Build the team that will create Foxit’s next modern, cloud-native progressive web application (PWA).

Your responsibilities:

- You’ll be responsible for leading and managing your team of extraordinary engineers. You will cover especially the parts that are not covered by SCRUM.
- You will ensure the smooth functioning of technical operations, monitor staff progress, assist with training and recruitment, set goals and manage work schedules contingency plans when needed. You will also monitor individual progress towards goals.
- In SCRUM, you will act as a Stakeholder of Engineering, making sure that non-product-related issues are also considered.
- Finally, you will also implement stories and for the product, so you’re also involved in the daily work of the team.

Personality requirements and skills

- Track-proven, hands-on experience both as a senior developer and as a development team leader, and experience with SCRUM and agile product development methods,
- Extensive experience with development of complex front-end web applications as well as hands-on experience in developing in C# and Azure DevOps (CI/CD),
- Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes,
Very knowledgeable in Web Application Frameworks like e.g. vue.js and ASP.NET and practical knowledge of Electron, Blazor, WebAssembly is a clear plus,
- Extended experience with web collaboration tools and UI Design (GoogleDocs, Etherpad, etc.) is a clear plus as well as experience with mobile development (iOS/Android),
- Enthusiasm for software development and technology with a high willingness to to learn continuously and to share your expertise,
- You are a flexible team player with hands-on experience and success with hiring and team building,
- Fluent communication skills at all levels, in English, both written and verbally.
