Job description, responsibilities and duties

Faurecia Automotive Slovakia sro, branch Lozorno, was established on 1 January 2005. Since its inception, the Volkswagen Group has installed car seats for SUVs. The production plant has been located in two locations since 2016: car seats for the Volkswagen New Small Family project are produced in the original premises of the Automotive Industrial Park Lozorno and for the premium vehicles Lamborghini Urus since 2018. Car seats for Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and Audi Q8 are currently being produced in the newly opened P3 Logistics Park.

The production plant in Lozorno is the flagship of Faurecia Automotive Seating in Europe and is equipped with state-of-the-art production and logistics systems, such as automatic coating warehouse, or automated supply trolleys for digitization and production and logistics automation.

More than 1,100 employees. The production plant cooperates intensively with students of universities and universities, mainly from technical fields

The role of an Autonomous Production Unit (UAP) Manager is to manage the effective operation of the UAP Team, as well as HR issues for team members.

The main missions of the role are to:
• Follow production plans, as well as Group standard processes; assure feasibility of production plans.
• Achieve financial targets: prepare and present the UAP budget; manage the actual production costs based on "ideal" costs; maintain product margin, and monitor serial productivity (labor level, material consumption, etc.).
• Manage the UAP team (200 to 300 FTE) : assure appropriate staffing, maintain working environment according to Group Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards , detect and advise training needs, share information (transparency), participate in career management initiatives, etc.
• Serve as official plant representative to the customer: meet established customer specifications concerning cycle time, delivery, quality, quantity and costs; implement preventative and corrective measures in the production process to assure that customer demands are properly met; coordinate with client's quality team to meet all customer standards.
• Implement action plans in order to improve functionality/productivity and to obtain program and Group objectives; make necessary corrective adjustments.
• Participate in the creation of Production System Efficiency (PSE) projects.
• Coordinate resource planning with Industrial Engineering department concerning stocks, equipment, staffing, activities, etc.
• Maintain dashboard indicators/status reports to monitor lead time, supply-chain targets, HSE performance, etc.

Personality requirements and skills

- at least 5 years’ experience in the field of production management in Automotive business (especially Just In Time)
- knowledge of assembly process of complete seats would be an advantage
- operational knowledge of Production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM)
- strong problem solving skills
- strong people management skills, interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in a matrix organization
- ability to interface with other functions - networking capabilities
- fluent Slovak/Czech and English is a must
- good knowledge of standard IT tools,
