Job description, responsibilities and duties

We need you, a seasoned B2C marketing specialist who listens to customer needs and can translate product features into compelling benefits. You are familiar with CONSUMER segment and product marketing with good project coordination skills, daring to challenge the status quo by implementing strategic insights. As a Global Segment Marketing Specialist you:

- Are the key marketing point of contact for our B2C activities and Global Sales or Product teams
- Lead, actively contribute and support creation of B2C segment marketing strategy, propositions, offerings & key messages
- Lead Global Marketing planning for B2C and actively contribute to Marketing workshops dedicated to the topic (with selected list of countries)
- Provide strategic, segment relevant information and guidance that serves as an input for other marketing teams and enables them to create strong campaign and/or program communication concepts
- Lead and have sole concept creation responsibilities for product launches (incl. cross-functional coordination). Drive messaging and product naming consistency across -
global and local customer touchpoints for a specific segment
- Actively project manage initiatives in full ownership, build mid and senior-level stakeholder relations and contribute to productive and close cooperation with other global, regional and priority country teams.
- Are one of the go-to people for B2C marketing insights

This position is a maternity leave cover.

What do we expect from you:

- Minimum 5 years of B2C experience in the following areas: market insight, marketing strategy, audience (segment) marketing, product marketing, business planning, project management
- Knowledge of B2C cybersecurity products and marketing is a strong advantage
- Proficient level of English (at least C1)
- Solid understanding of B2C (technology) buying process & stakeholders/audience needs and behaviors
- Advanced experience to ideate innovative strategic B2C marketing initiatives
- Ability to combine strong data analytics understanding with creativity and executability pragmatism
- Ability to formulate the big picture while considering key details, to view topics holistically (end to end) but also break down into phases (step by step)
- Willingness to stand up for well justified plans & proposals


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 2,100 employees around the world drive the company’s success – a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. More than 1200 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
