Senior Technical Presales Manager (m/f)

Information about the position

  • Place of work: Bratislava, Slovakia (Job with occasional home office)
  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: From 2 800 EUR/month*Financial bonus based on performance paid twice a year up to 25% from the base salary paid during the evaluation period (normally 6 months)
  • Start date: by agreement
  • Contract type: full-time

Job description, responsibilities and duties

This position supports the sales staff in presenting technical presentations of our products as well as assisting on installations of our products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Provide product demonstrations both in person and online to potential clients or partners within EMEA region
- Provide/deliver partners or customer training for our products
- Provide technical training to sales teams WW
- Respond to reseller and high-profile customer requests for technical assistance
- Keep accurate notes in CRM for all related activities
- Provide pre-sales technical support to customers and partners
- Consult with external customers to interpret customer requirements while providing product application assistance
- Assist sales force and partners inclosing business deals through on-site visits or online
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and other industry events
- Provide feedback to product development regarding product changes as it relates to customer requirements
- Champion our product line through product presentations and technical demonstrations at customer and partner sites
- Work on answering of RFP’s and RFI’s
- Cooperate on sales tools creation for local sale or pre-sales teams.

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- At least 10 years in a Sales Engineering or Professional Services/Consulting experience
- At least 5 years in a Sales Engineering or Professional Services/Consulting experience in security field
- Bachelor University Degree
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Linux, and Novell systems and advanced computer networking environments
- Ability to comprehend and convey complex systems and issues with an effective manner, both written and verbally
- Skill in business communication and making excellent presentations
- Skill in organization and time management
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ability to train others


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 1,800 employees around the world drive the company’s success – a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. Almost 900 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
