Job description, responsibilities and duties

This is a newly opened position in our Global Accounts team. Its main goal is to identify partnership opportunities across multinational service and reseller partnerships traditionally services the upper mid-market to Enterprise customer market, review our engagements and implement / execute further engagement with ESET.
This is a hunting position to grow partnership that lead into overall business growth for ESET. The responsibility over channel or segment is worth tens of millions per year.

As Senior Business Development Manager you will:
• Proactively identify new business opportunities for ESET to expand its partner ecosystem that caters to the upper mid-market / Enterprise market segment.
• Review where existing partner relationship can be expanded, either locally or cross territory.
• Implement or execute initiatives to maximize ESET sales to assigned segment or channel
• Lead regional or local teams during deployment of initiatives in local markets
• Set the bench-mark across ESET for large channel partner engagements.
• Build sales enablement materials to promote success of assigned segment or channel
• Work together with local teams on acquisition or development of existing partners or customers
• Build pipeline via aligned channel partner focus / growth.
• Assist in closing of ESET business within aligned channel partners and segments
• Formulize and product report regularly for colleagues and upper management.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• 10+ years of working experience in strategic sales and account management
• 10+ years of experience in the computer security industry
• 5+ years of experience in software distribution industry
• Advanced English (C1 or better)
• Experience with contracts negotiation and contract management
• Global work experience a plus
• Detail oriented and self-reliant
• High level of inter-personal relationship and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Constructive focus in problem solving
• Planning of own work in accordance with the plans of the group or deadlines
• Result orientation


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 1,800 employees around the world drive the company’s success – a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. Almost 900 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
