  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: From 1 600 EUR/monthFinancial bonus based on performance paid twice a year up to 16,67% from the base salary paid during the evaluation period (normally 6 months)

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Ask no longer "are you sure it´s plugged in" type of tech support questions. Join our international 15-member team and assist our premium partners and distributors all around the world. All the issues you will be dealing with are of a have-never-seen-this-before style. No worries, you can still count on our know-how but be ready for work that requires a lot of independent problem-solving.

As our Technical Support Engineer, you will:
• Provide technical support for ESET products to our customers and partners
• Get in touch with ESET products before their release
• Search for solutions of issues in cooperation with developers
• Gather data about new issues solved and provide them to other teams / departments
• Provide 24/7 availability to our partners (11.5 hour shifts). Based on this you are entitled to fully covered 14 EUR/per shift meal vouchers.
• In average there are 14 shifts per month.

Ideal candidate has:
• At least 5 years of experience on similar position
• Active English language (min. B2 level written and spoken)
• Active Slovak language (min. B2 level written and spoken)
• Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem solving and solution seeking attitude
• Drive to learn

Knowledge of at least one of the following is important:
• Advanced/expert knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS
• Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

Knowledge of following is an advantage:

Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 1,800 employees around the world drive the company’s success – a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. Almost 900 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
