Job description, responsibilities and duties

Enterprise Application Operation Slovakia/Bratislava (EAO) is the largest DXC`s SAP Basis support site within the worldwide EAO organization. We deliver all support lines of SAP Basis support incl. Backup and Restore, Platform 3rd level (UX, AIX, Linux and Windows), Scheduling and Archiving support, and add-on value services like Project Management, Implementation, Transition &Transformation and pre-sales for SAP deals. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a PaaS for SAP Technical Implementation Lead, you take over responsibility for the delivery of excellent PaaS for SAP on virtual private cloud or public cloud managed by your team. The main goal is to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the production environment and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. This includes the lead or participation in automation, technical projects, consulting and development of standards in your area of expertise as well as the delivery of support services.

Moreover he/she has the responsibility for complex PaaS for SAP environment, is responsible for all change management and hardware level in these environments. He also is responsible for the optimization and proactive support. The PaaS for SAP technical implementation lead is responsible to work on complex incidents, identify and solve infrastructure and automation problems, keep contact to the engineering and account teams, coordinator of data center technician and implementation activities. According to our service level agreements we commit to our customers short response time and to fix problems within a given timeframe. Our customers are based on classic dedicated HW or cloud solutions. Team is primary location for all EMEA cloud customer environment.

1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consultation, implementation, Onboarding new customers to P4S infrastructure
• Participation on transformation projects/migrations;
• Manage and solve automation issues/incidents/problems
• Manage Storage and ESX on P4S infrastructure
• Creating system documentation
• Identification and problem solving
• Coordination of support teams in order to ensure high availability, capacity and customer satisfaction
• Participating in rotating “on call” duty with team members


1.3 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• Educational background: university degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems etc.) or equivalent experience in IT or relevant business area.
• min. 3 years of engineering and operational experience with Linux/HP-UX operating system installation, administration – Linux
• Knowledge of high-end storage technologies and SAN
• Significant system administration experience in a production Linux operating system environment
• Experience with architecting solutions, storage and Linux technologies a plus
• Experience with high-end storage technologies and SAN, knowledge and experience with cloud solutions as plus
• Good Project management skills; Ability to coordinate tasks with several people, teams, departments; Commitment to timelines and effort
• Good cross-cultural team player. Used to working in international environment, with numerous servers, Experience in an international environment is an advantage
• Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
• Aptitude to learn new tools and technologies very quickly and adapt to changing project deliverables
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: able to collaborate and work in teams
• Fluent English
