Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job specifics/responsibilities this role would include and help you grow into:
- Preparing and planning of server migrations
- Defining the methodologies that will be used for migrating from the CMO to the FMO
- Providing support during a migration phase for other involved teams
- Producing part or all of the technical solution for the account/client, in accordance with an agreed technical design
- Ensuring the project deliverable is completed accurately and on time
- Escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate parties for clarification and resolution
- Design, development, implementation using the Global Engineering specifications, methodology and practical application of ITIL practices and processes
- Documenting project requirements, risks, design, test plans, deployment procedures and operation/support procedures following the Global Engineering Quality Management Process (GE QMS) standards

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1)

The position is suitable for a fresh graduate


Personality requirements and skills

- Experience in the IT Services industry
- English – written and verbal
- Good communication skills

Do you have some of the following skills and are eager to learn more?
- Understanding of both server hardware & server operating system deployment, configuration, testing & administration.
- Experience with various Linux distributions – e.g. RHEL, SLES and/or Unix-like OS – e.g. AIX, HP-UX, Solaris.
- Ability to Design, install, configure, optimize and document Unix-like environments: File and Print Server Migrations, Clusters, DNS, LDAP
- Demonstrates understanding in at least one of the following migration tools like DoubleTake, rsync, Platespin, VMWare vCenter Converter, VMWare Tools
- Understanding of script debugging & automation principles with prior experience of working in Bash/sh/ksh/csh.
- Experienced troubleshooting to a specialist level within Network Infrastructures.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols: DNS, LDAP, DHCP, TLS/SSL.

Understanding and knowledge of all skills is not necessary, but an advantage.
