Position Overview

The Sr. Security Specialist is responsible for ongoing security administration and operations support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications and connectivity components related to security technologies. Provides security subject matter expertise for IT and Business projects, investigations and overall operations of security related controls. Provides support to address security issues on various systems (i.e., Linux, Unix, Windows, Mainframe, Mac) across multiple locations. Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, application run, enhancement, testing, staging, solutions build, policy / procedure enhancement, and operational recommendations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides Information & Cyber Security support for a region or assigned functional area.
  • Ensures application of security policies, principles and practices.
  • Analyzes security incidents and network events to determine impact on current operations.
  • Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems and application security and designs countermeasures.
  • Performs periodic and ondemand systems audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file systems and external web integrity scans to determine compliance.
  • Contributes to design, development and testing of security controls.
  • Analyzes and recommends commercially available hardware and software capable of meeting system and user requirements.
  • Provides system administration hands-on support, troubleshooting and technical guidance.
  • Configures and maintains large VMware environments.
  • Designs hardware and software performance, stress and load tests, making recommendations based on results.
  • Participates in and provides senior-level support to team and cross-functional projects.
  • Impacts overall team effectiveness.
  • May provide informal support to less experienced team members.
  • Key Technologies include, but are not limited to: Splunk, Qradar/QRoC, CrowdStrike, Trend Micro

Skills we look for

  • Professional education in Computer Science, IT or Cyber Security
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (speak, read, write)
  • High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision
  • Efficient PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel skills
  • Self - motivated person demonstrating good communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and virtual team environment

Starting salary from 2.200 EUR gross/month - the final offer depends on proven experience
