Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a Senior Application Administrator- Team Leader for Diebold-Nixdorf proprietary applications (Linux OS & Java based) who will take care of our team who is providing services to Banking, Petrol, Journaling, Cash management, Monitoring platform.

Key responsibilities:

• 2nd - Level Support regarding ICT and Applications as part of induction phase to understand the platform
• 3rd – Level Support for specific areas as part of career path
• Ability to work on shifts for all Managed Service customers on the global market (Europe, Americas, Asia regions)
• Responsible for the Major Incident, complex change, request and problem management process for applications and application servers on daily basis with the corporate toolset
• Technical engagement and active role in initiatives and projects as part of CSI
• Operation of middleware application containers (Kafka, ActiveMQ, Apache WS, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly) Proprietary Diebold Nixdorf Payments Applications
• Create innovated and automatized standardized solutions with top quality
• Create IT solutions for customers on the global market and bring ideas to improve the satisfaction of consumers
• Delivery of standard orders (special reports for customers, SQL queries, data collection and processing, etc.)
• Delivery of non-standard orders and custom solutions for individual customers (sftp servers setup, event-filtered data collection, automated Software Distribution towards the endpoints, etc.)
• Control and Management of: Job's (Batch, Backup, Archive, Journals, Reports, Log's, …)
• Known error documentation, Knowledge Base responsibility
• Active communication with developers regarding flaws, ideas on the application

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Professional experience within administration of applications- Linux (senior level)
• Deep understanding of software architecture and IT infrastructure
• Understanding of network topology
• Experience within Agile working environment
• Great overview of Project management methods
• ITIL knowledge
• Knowledge of agreed measurement for delivering services/solutions (OLA, SLA, SA, DA, KPI)
• Ability to communicate in English language fluently
• Good communication skills – convince colleagues about new ideas, be able to communicate on a good level under pressure
• Excellent team cooperation – mentoring approach is welcomed
