Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job is carried out either in Operation or Controls area:

Part: Operation
The operational activities will be focused on performing special tasks including, but not limited, to supervision and coordination of all Asset Accounting activities within a selected group of companies or processes, solving of complex and non-standard tasks/ problems and improvement efforts. Depending on circumstances, the job duties may also include performing of standard asset accounting tasks.
Part: Controls
Control activities will be focused on quality and process standardization in Asset Accounting in companies within Deutsche Telekom Group and will ensure that processes are properly documented and controlled. Depending on circumstances, the job duties may also include performing of standard asset accounting tasks.

Job content:
Part: Operation
Standard tasks:
• Processing fixed asset transactions (acquisition, capitalization, transfer, disposal etc.)
• Maintaining of asset master records and responsibility for accuracy of asset register
• Performing month-end closing activities and reconciliations
• Ensuring SLA parameters, individual customer and group deadlines are met
• Supporting all customers’ requests and providing information, regular and ad-hoc reports
Special tasks:
• Supervise and coordinate all asset accounting activities within a selected group of companies or processes
• Act as the main contact point with customer and functional headquarters for a selected group of companies or processes
• Solve complex and non standard tasks/ issues
• Perform and consolidate required analysis/ reports
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and local regulations
• Ensure proper implemention of asset accounting processes in line with One.ERP template
• Actively identify inefficiencies and introduce specific improvement measures
• Provide guidance and support to team members
• Actively participate and support functional and cross-functional projects

Part: Controls
• Perform all in-scope testing within Service Level Agreements
• Prepare testing calendar, selection of samples and supporting evidences for testing
• Execute specific test procedures in accordance to the test plans and/or instruction manuals
• Process testing results in comprehensible form
• Provide recommendations on corrective actions
• Execute remediation testing to determine adequacy of remedial actions
• Post all testing results in designated repositories along with supporting documentation
• Present testing results to accountants/ management
• Improve control points for tested processes

Business Controls:
• Implement Business Controls activities for customers‘ Asset Accounting
• Communicating and providing documents and analyses, for external auditors/Group Audit
• Ensure process efficiency, ongoing process optimization and harmonization in Asset Accounting
• Perform and consolidate required analysis / reports
• Other ad-hoc tasks according to the needs of asset accounting department

We work in a hybrid style of working with an unlimited home office, but once a week we meet in the office in Bratislava for meetings.

The salary for this position is from 1600 EUR gross.
The published salary is the minimum possible offer. The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

Processing of selected parts of accounting for the T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary. Processing of selected tasks within procurement area for companies belonging to Deutsche Telekom group.
