  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: 2 000 - 2 650 EUR/monthFinal salary is negotiable.  We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2000 EUR brutto.

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Purpose
Software Developer works within SCRUM team, to develop, design and implement of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. Target of development is automation of business processes and cross platform automation. Holder of the position handles all phases of software development lifecycle, especially for small or midsize solutions. Follow agreed methodology steps and rituals and take responsibility for produced code to indepenently deliver functional solution with team. Share knowledge with less experience colleagues. Document and share best practices. Constantly work on self-development and follow industry trends.

This position focuses on the development of the Telekom Data Intelligence Hub (DIH). We use the full range of data sources, from IoT to social media, to create sustainable innovation/value from the use of data and AI building blocks.

Key accountabilities
• Take part in creating software solutions in scaled agile environment (Less, SAFe) as a member of a cross functional team
• Build cloud hosted, micro-services Java/Kotlin applications considering holistic business requirements and implications along the entire development process
• Write scalable and maintainable code
• Ensure quality in every aspect of your work, from writing and maintaining documentation, doing code reviews or testing
• Collaborate with other teams in an international environment (Germany, Hungary, Russia, India)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Background and required skills:
• Bachelor or master's degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
• 5 years of overall IT experience of which majorly in technologies involving Java frameworks, SQL and NoSQL databases, Cloud services, Big Data technologies.
• At least 3 years' experience in development of complex software systems


Optional, but should be conversant in some of the below:
• Cloud know-how and experience (preferably AZURE)
• Experience in writing quality code for production during last few assignments / projects
• Java ("Backend") mandatory. Kotlin a plus
• Java Frameworks expertise on Spring (Boot, Cloud)
• Python or other scripting language is a plus
• Micro-service Architecture
• Experience with Kubernetes especially in cloud (AKS, EKS, etc.)
• Experience with communication protocol like REST, AMQP, Kafka
• Experiences with SQL and NoSQL databases like Postgresql, MSSQL/MySQL or MongoDB
• Familiarity with Big Data Infrastructure like Hadoop, Azure Data Lakes, Cloudera Stack a plus
• Use of basic Security Infrastructure Technology (VPN, PGP, OpenID Connect etc.)
• Basic Unix/Linux Knowledge (Console, SSH etc.)
• One who can contribute as a 'team-player' - troubleshoot issues /help team-members when need arises & participate in knowledge-sharing actively.
• Excellent Git and git branching strategies knowledge
• Exposure to DevOps and continuous integration/deployment concepts is a must
• Exposure to CI/CD tools is a must (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, CircleCI, Azure DevOps)
• Candidates must have very good communication skills, the roles involve demonstration of product / solutions to internal and external stakeholders
• Candidates need good English written and oral skills. German skills a plus
Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus
