Server Distribution Merchandising Manager

Bratislava, Slovakia

What you’ll achieve
As a Merchandising Manager for Server Distribution, you will define and execute a plan to support assigned product lines, utilizing market analysis to craft assortment and pricing strategy. You will drive the top and bottom line, optimizing all aspects of the portfolio P&L by delivering smart assortment, creating continual channel improvements and delivering the best customer experience.

You will:

  • Develop and lead go-to-market strategies for PowerEdge Server products with strong focus on run rate business in Distribution. Create a quarterly merchandising plan defining KPIs and key focus areas and actions.

  • Apply a thoughtful combination of marketing levers (price, positioning, and promotion) to generate demand (door openers) and provide closing tool for sales.

  • Action sell-out plans with inventory forecast to maximize the asset turnaround, monitor slow sellers in distribution inventory, and take action to impact run rates via price reductions and/or other demand-driving activities as necessary (KPIs – sell in, sell out and weeks of inventory).

  • Run regular weekly business performance update.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (regional Marketing, Finance, Pricing , Product Line Management and Distribution sales teams) to develop, plan and implement new business development initiatives.​

Essential Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience as a technology merchandising or category management specialist

  • A deep understanding of customer needs, the product and the external landscape

  • An innovative and creative spirit, to enjoy the considerable diversity of the role

  • Outstanding communication skills (fluent proficiency in English) and the ability to maximize relationships, positively influencing all colleagues and partners
