Job description, responsibilities and duties

In Danfoss Heating we are looking for a Sales Engineer who will represent Danfoss with a focus on our Heating/District Heating solutions. We are looking for a colleague with a blend of engineering skills and sales tactics able to identify and build strong business relationships with Consultants, Contractor, Installer and Wholesalers.

Location is flexible in Slovakia and you will report to local Sales Manager.

Your tasks would also be:
• Meet sales plan targets and continuously grow market shares, quote, negotiate and close sales deals/orders.
• Continuously sell Danfoss solutions at target customers in order to get Danfoss selected as preferred supplier.
• Create and ensure introduction of relevant Value Proposition into the sales process.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, offers and negotiations based on value selling and customer needs assessment.
• Proactively support collecting overdue payments according to payment terms and ensure information flow to accounting.
• Collecting data related to market conditions and trends, competitors and prices.
• First point of contact for after sales issues and transfer task to Sales Support/ After Sales Service, ensure efficient information flow.
• Maintain customers and sales activities/ data using CRM.
• Participate actively in marketing activities (e.g. exhibitions, surveys, etc.)

Personality requirements and skills

Background & Skills:
To be considered for this role, you will preferably bring at least 3 years experience in developing channel marketing & sales strategy for B2B products in HVAC as well as strong personal drive to reach the goals.
We also expect:
• Minimum University degree from technical field - e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Building Constructions, HVAC, Electronics or other related field
• Independence in performing daily tasks and business challenging thinking
• Good communication, presentation & reporting skills
• Team work and fast learning
• Travel mobility at the national and regional level
• Affinity to connect with people
• Slovak Language fluent
• Active use of English language (speaking and writing)
