Job description, responsibilities and duties


We are looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Assistant to be the support for an external payroll provider supporting all our payroll processes. The duties include to support the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time working closely with our external payroll provider.
This role will report to a Payroll Manager based in Spain.

To be successful as a Payroll Assistant you should have good numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively and manage your tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

What you will achieve:

-Support the collection of timesheets and variable information from the Operations Department.
-Coordinate efforts between the payroll department and other departments such as the human resources and budget in order to ensure accurate employee data
-Collect and register justifications from all employees
- Support to liaise responses for all employee questions about payroll queries
- Support to provide all annual tax certificates have been delivered to all the employees
-Completes additional accounting tasks as assigned by the organization.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Primary education
Secondary without school-leaving examination
Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

What we look for:
- Fluent in Slovak along with B2 level of English both in verbal and written communication
- At least 1 year experience in Payroll Administration
- Personal efficiency, strong organizational skills, time management skills
- Ability to work with a team as well as with external auditors
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality in the course of work
- Basic knowledge of Slovak Labour Code is required
- Strong ability to pay attention to detail and perform tasks accurately
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
