Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Accountant for General Accounting Tax Operations ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all General Accounting Tax Operations transactions assigned to his role.

Major tasks and responsibilities on this position include:

• Support of the day to day General Accounting Tax Operations activities for the following process areas:
- Contribute to the tax set-up
- Country specific manual tax processes
- Tax data review and preparation
- Follow-up activities related to the General Accounting Tax Operations plausibility checks
- Support the preparation of different Tax reports
- Tax payment and adjustment
- Management of tax audit queries
- Compile system maintenance´s needs and checks correctly/ on time
- General Accounting Tax Operations activities for other local taxes
- Withholding tax related activities
• Assist and support ad-hoc requests
• Assist the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the General Accounting Tax Operations transaction processing.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting and / or Finance
• Approximately 1-2 years of experience in the area of Accounting (ideally in SSC).
• Previous experience in Tax Operations is of advantage.
• Work experience with SAP and typical other IT-tools as a plus.
• Profound knowledge of Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure.
• Team-player with ability to adapt to new cultures and people.
• Strong communication skills and strong service orientation.
• Business proficient English
