Job description, responsibilities and duties

Starting salary starts from 1 700 € according to knowledge and experience;
Ensure that the Energy Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO 50001 within the framework of the existing ESH Management System is established, implemented, maintained and efficient;
Drive project development team for development of energy savings and performance contracting projects;
Provides technical analysis for energy projects, providing project risk assessment to the top management, develop, record, and maintain an energy review to the targets;
Effectively analyze and assess the economic impacts of utility company rate structures and supply side options in a wide variety of customer environments and organization's energy policy;
Define and communicate responsibilities and authorities in order to facilitate effective energy management in energy management team;
Promote awareness of the energy policy and objectives at all levels of the organization;
Identify and establish working relationships with all necessary engineering, construction and procurement firms (with focus on energy conservation and generation resources) required to execute energy recommendations, conduct and document an energy planning process;
Ensure that requirements with regard to monitoring, measurement and analysis as well as the evaluation of compliance with legal requirements and other requirements are being met;
Ensure that requirements with regard to competence, training, awareness and communication are being met;
Identify corrective and preventive actions, prepare an annual energy management review, which conforms to ISO 50001 requirements;
Document energy management's relevant records and documents within the scope of the local ESH Management System in cooperation with the ESH Manager;
Participate at internal (if applicable: external) audits of the Energy Management System, other energy management tasks according to local and national requirements and demands, if necessary.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Electrotechnical engineering or similar

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Experience in the position/sector

5+ years of experiences in energy management or facility management or industrial engineering.

Personality requirements and skills

Energy Management according ISO 50001 certification;
Cross-sectional technologies (e.g. compressed air, HVAC) regarding energy efficiency;
Project management skills on advanced level;
English on communicational level (B2);
Certified and with permission for operating el. equipment up to 1000V respectively permission for Gas and Boiler operation (§23);
Certification as energy professional (e.g. energy manager, energy auditor) by a nationally authorized certification body is strongly recommended;
Team- player, experience with building up leading a team;
Eagerness to learn and grow, quality orientation, planning & organizing, problem solving.
