Technical Support Engineer

  • Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: 1 800 EUR/monthmonthly base salary + quarterly bonuses

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Full Time / Contract
- Offices in Malaga, Bratislava and Prague
- 100 % Remote anywhere from Europe

*Salary is negotiable based on your location and experience.

What you'll work on:

- Investigate complex, technical issues that arise.
- Crawl through logs, database entries.
- Networking (on level CCNA 1, 2) - SIP, TCP/IP.
- Answer technical support requests via email, chat, and phone.
- Help guide some customers through the technical setup process.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to solve more complex issues.
- Update knowledge base and troubleshooting documentation for internal and customer use.
- Serve as an initial escalation point for technical support issues.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and client-facing teams (customer support, customer success and sales) on technical issues affecting our customers.
- Identify, document and follow up with engineers on product bugs and features

Personality requirements and skills

- Willingness to cover both morning (7:00-15:30), mid-day (09:30-18:00) and evening (15:30-00:00) shifts is crucial.
- Strong problem-solving, investigative, decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to investigate, simulate and recognize technical problems.
- Ability to read logs (Sentry, Elastic, etc.) and databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of VoIP (SIP protocol) is a big plus.
- Experience diagnosing QoS issues is a plus.
- Familiarity with VoIP devices, IP phones and softphones.
- Degree in a technical subject (students are welcomed as well).
- Professional, courteous and committed to provide amazing customer support.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Open-minded, positive and keen to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Great attitude, team player.
- Experience with call center technologies such as IVRs is a plus.
