What you'll be doing:
As our Senior Accountant, you will be part of an expert team that manages the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities at our Amsterdam HQ and beyond. That includes a range of responsibilities, from delivering vital data each month to performing monthly analysis and work on projects to improve the underlying processes.

In this vital accounting role, you will also be responsible for:

- As a financial professional you are part of a dynamic team that manages the day-to-day accounting activities for our SEE region
- You manage the timely processing of accounting transactions as needed (accruals, intercompany etc.)
- Deliver reliable financial data each month on working day three
- Perform monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reviews
- Contribute to several projects within the accounting organization (IFRS 16, Fixed Assets, new entities).
- Support the tax team and other stakeholders with requested financial information
- Continuously drive for improvement in quality and efficiency in new processes and systems to enhance the workflow of the department

What you bring:
- You are fluent in Slovak and English
- You bring 4+ years of proven experience in accounting, finance
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting
- You have strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
- Strong business acumen, who can see the big picture and yet knows all the details and is willing to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done
- You have experience in resolving complex accounting issues and transactions
- You are an expert in the use of ERP (experience with Workday is a pre) systems and MS Office (expert level in Excel is a must)
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and communicative skills and ability to take charge, set objectives, drive to results
- Positive attitude, collaborative, team player, and comfortable in a fast-growing environment that changes as the business grows
- Strong work ethics
