Senior Business Analyst - Production and Plant Maintenance

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your role as Business Analyst for Production and Plant Maintenance to act as the intermediary between the business and IT, You are accountable for gathering input from business teams, writing usable requirements (or stories) and translate the business language into IT language for product teams to design and develop, planning and supporting the UAT process. This role requires experience with strategic business initiatives and strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes in the shopfloor and plant maintenance functions of SAP, to ensure the MFG & PM solution is serving the targeted business needs, brings the targeted business value and adoption by the business teams.

Key responsibility
• Partner with the different roles in the Bekaert operation community to deploy solutions and to ensure full user adoption and realization of the business case.
• Have a detailed understanding of the digital business objectives and technology solutions and can translate high-level business vision, ideas and strategic goals into requirements for technology teams
• Navigate the product and technical organizations to consolidate business input and write business and platform requirements for medium to large sized projects and projects that span multiple products
• Work with business and technology team to obtain input, propose feasible options/solutions to meet requirements and recommend best approach based on priorities (such as development time, usability, maintainability etc.)
• Own the collaboration process between the business and tech teams to finalize requirements gathering within an agreed timeframe
• Submit final requirements (or initial stories, for agile methodology) for development and/or creative work to begin
• Responsible for drafting the UAT plan and capturing input from users, and provide product team with consolidated change requirements
• Facilitate scope change discussions and provide recommendations to Project Owners/Product Managers
• Accountable for validating that business requirements are met through the project/product’s delivery cycle and helping the solution adoption

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Bachelor degree or above with 5-8 years relevant experience, or equivalent through experience.
8+ years of overall experience, 3+ years into manufacturing solutions - SAP PP,PM, MES system
Additional education or certification in the area of production is plus(Lean, 6 Sigma etc.)
Significant experience in delivering strategic projects
Experience in working with globally distributed teams and partners
