Job description, responsibilities and duties

Main responsibilities:
• Preparation of all statutory surveys, applications, declarations, and other statutory documents for public institutions (Financial Administration, etc.) on the basis of inputs provided by B&P Slovakia,
• Preparation and submission of statutory accounts and tax returns, including but not limited to corporate tax, and VAT, within the deadlines specified in Slovak jurisdiction,
• Preparation and processing of accounting documents – internal documents related to the property, fixed assets, internal re-accounting of costs and revenues for internal accounting purposes,
• Preparation of annual financial statements,
• Processing of accounting documents in a journal,
• Calculation and preparation of invoices to be issued (Outgoing),
• Shall perform the above mentioned tasks in accordance with valid and effective legislation of the accounting practices and frame accounting plan for entrepreneurs which are based on accounting in the double-entry bookkeeping, value added tax, income tax, and travel expenses recovery rules as required under Slovak legislation.

Other responsibilities:
• To develop and manage the Slovakia in-house accounting and ensure compliance with all local requirements,
• Working closely with the Slovakia operations and administration teams to produce monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts, with accompanying narrative, to group finance team,
• Working closely with the Office Manager and Regional General Manager in contract budgeting, pricing and monitoring,
• Provide all the necessary financial information and reports (GPS) to the group finance function in the UK to enable consolidation of the group’s accounts. Provide ad-hoc analysis as and when necessary as requested by the group team,
• Preparation, review and submission to group finance team of monthly Slovakia management accounts, adjusted to conform to group Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP),
• Advise the business on legal and taxation matters and seek external advice where necessary,
• Advise the Office Manager and Regional General Manager on the interpretation of operating results and trends,
• Work with Office Manager and Regional General Manager on pricing policy, labour rates, client payment terms and budget quotations, and operate credit control procedures,
• Undertake business case analysis for capital expenditure proposals and submit request to group finance team with enough supporting documentation to enable requests to be reviewed and considered for authorisation,
• Provide ad-hoc financial information to support business decision making,
• Review ongoing financial performance of all active projects against budget and assist the Regional General Manager to maintain their contract margins and correctly account for their costs,
• Liaise with internal and external auditors,
• Provide weekly cash forecasts to the group finance team,
• Work with electronic banking system – uploading payments and downloading bank statements,
• Calculation of daily allowance for all employees,
• Preparation of all the necessary documents for payroll (hours worked by each individual worker, employee travel, meal tickets, OT hours, salary changes, etc) and then submit to external payroll company for processing,
• Collecting information for monthly Employee Listing report for Office Manager in respect to BPSK employees
• Checking all of the supplier cards received from new suppliers and check their bank details against received invoices.
