For our client, global leader in automotive seating, we are looking for a Commodity Manager exprienced in purchasing of plastic parts.
If you are experienced commodity manager, you have technical understanding of polymer technology, tools, and plastics injection molding, send us your CV in English!
Place of work: Bratislava (hybrid) or anywhere in Slovakia (remote) - huge flexibility!
Job duties:
• Develop, coordinate, steer and shape overall commodity purchasing strategy for plastics
• Manage the plastics spend, provide market and industry know-how for resin and plastics
• Coordinate purchasing targets with the managing board and the related departments
• Meet and/or exceed commodity profit plan goals related to key metrics
• Ensure the cost, quality, and timely supply of all plants in line with business plans, budgets, targets, and strategies
• Lead Material Best Business Practices in cooperation with costing and engineering
• Provide expertise on internal and external stakeholders and commodity strategy for plastics and injection molding
• Improve program profitability by continuous improvement, VA/VE activities, global sourcing
• Support proper Make vs. Buy decisions, monitor and address market changes, manage business impacts
• Support and develop plastics purchasing team
• Leverage of purchases across all business units and global programs
• Maintain and update weekly cost saving roadmaps, perform monthly reconciliation
