Job description, responsibilities and duties

Operating as lead contact for all matters relating to your retail account(s), you will use your experience and expertise to maintain and grow your customer relationship for your sector and portfolio of customers.

Understanding the needs of your customers and growing your portfolio with new solutions / services, negotiating prices and growing a sales pipeline.

Deliver growth on your account(s) and contribute on an operational and strategic level.

Your time will be spent managing your customer contacts on a daily basis either face to face or via telephone / email as well as interacting with the wider business.

Responsibilities

Managing and growing your sector / portfolio of customer’s dependence on Nielsen Brandbank through cross-functional engagement
Creation and management of an overall sales plan for the account and identifying account activity to ensure appropriate revenue / growth is achieved through up selling and cross selling
Responsible for account planning and direction to ensure customer satisfaction and performance above and beyond business KPI’s
Qualifying appropriate revenue and negotiating pricing with a focus on profit margin
Achieving Monthly Direct and Indirect Sales targets for your account(s)
Ensure the indirect sales pipeline is delivered accurately and in advance to allow product launch dates to be met
Manage the customers ranging information centrally for capacity planning and revenue generation purposes, including management of exceptional items
Identify potential up / cross-sell opportunities for your account to drive revenue generation and increase customer satisfaction
Presenting to customers, new stakeholders & internal departments
Creating new processes and working practices to drive efficient operations
Monitoring and reporting figures and statistics to both Nielsen Brandbank and clients

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Office - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

Experience in FMCG / retail / wholesale / food service / client management in a Commercial Sales environment is beneficial
Track record of proven success and full knowledge of the sales process, including forecasting
Experienced in presenting and influencing at the most senior levels
Confident negotiator and ability to "close the deal"
Strong client management skills
Capable of hands-on problem solving to deliver client-focused solutions and ability to analyze processes to generate business-wide ideas and solutions
Excellent written and spoken English
Remains calm under high pressure
Self-driven, proactive and results orientated
Experience of MS Office & Google Software required
